GOD’S ATTENTION
How is this for great and special attention? When Jesus Christ was criticised for having dinner with tax collectors and sinners he replied, "I didn’t come to invite good people to be my followers, I came to invite sinners" (Matt 9:13). If you’ve missed the mark, gone wrong or messed up along the way, God gives you his word that he will help and restore you and love you without limit (Hosea 14:4).
In addition, when you pray or cry out to Him, most definitely you attract God’s attention (Psl 34:17). More than this, God constantly watches over you and arranges behind-the-scenes, the good things that come into your life (Psl 84:11). If you are going through times of trouble, you have God’s attention (Psl 46:1). Even when dire cares and your enemies think they’ve won, let your eyes of faith see the reassuring face of God in the pitch-like darkness of your circumstances (Psl 13:3). All those who believe in and obey Him can vouch for these truths.
God does not look at your social or religious status or your appearance etc., when you come to him (1 Chron. 28:9), or when he comes to you (John 14:18). He looks at you just as you are (Deut 10:17-18) and knows how he can help make you the person you were born to be (1 Sam 16:7). The eyes of the Lord run back and forth throughout the whole earth seeking those who completely trust him so that he might reveal his power on their behalf (2 Chron. 16:9). This is the value and the vast importance of living in God’s attention. He formed you (Jeri 1:5); he knows you better than you know yourself; and (more than any other) he can help you grow and develop your capacities - to the fullest extent possible.
So God takes special interest in your progress and your peace of mind, and in your devotion to Jesus Christ. With each progressive step, your peace of mind increases. Your appreciation grows for what the Lord is doing in your life. This leads you beyond selfish independence and the need to dominate others; to a place where you can use the talents, He gave you, to benefit you and help other people find fulfilment in Christ.
If you are reading this and you realise that it is time that you pay attention to God, and then invite the Lord by just saying audibly, "Jesus Christ, I believe in you. From today, I want you to come into my heart and live within me. I need your focus on my life; and I want to pay attention to my relationship with you. " Then talk to a Christian you know.
