RESILIENCE
The scheme of hell is to work with circumstances and human collaborators to create and prolong distress, prevent recovery, and produce casualties in life (Eph 6:11, 13). Sometimes because of our own independent indiscretions or poor judgement we fall and land in darkness. God comes to our defence, makes things right for us, and leads us to see and learn from the error of our ways, (Micah 7:8-9). Do not become disheartened or fear when your circumstances are unbearable or when your mind, emotions, will and resources are exhausted. Heaven does not operate on the basis that only the fittest and faultless survive (Matt 11:28-30). God even loves a person who falls back into wrongdoing and error (Hosea 14:4).
Jesus Christ does not reject and discard the weak, the struggling, the ailing, or the fallen. Christ has the power to change people, places, and things (Matt 28:18), and the power to instil the decent passion, progress and peace that you might have lost along the way (Joel 2:25). The presence and power of Christ expands your faith, increases your hope, and restores your soul. Trust God. (Mark 11:22). Go boldly to the throne of God in prayer, with your expectation and hope in Him (Heb 4:16). There you will find true kindness and the help you need to recover. You will find the new strength, power and healing to get over the effects of the setback or stagnation and to move ahead with fresh confidence (Isa 40:31).
God’s almighty power guarantees that he can take care of you (Psl 34:19; 147:2-5). God’s supreme love for people is your assurance that he definitely will take care of you (1 John 4:10). Since God created you, he can put you together again, whether you are bruised or broken. With some people, bouncing back from a defeat or recovering from crushing pressure and difficulties happens rapidly. In most cases though, it takes a period to recover from setbacks. Look to Jesus for your encouragement (Heb 12:1-2). He will energise your spirit, refine, and raise your hopes. You will again feel certain about your own abilities (Phil 3:13-14), and hopefully you will have learnt from the experience (Prov 1:7).
When you dare to try what God drops into your heart, and when you happen to fail, God lifts and encourages you to try again. With each fresh attempt, you reach a higher level of understanding and you become a stronger you. Resilience is the servant of faith and hope and a way God uses to keep you alive and moving towards your destiny.
